What a game. Just when all hope was lost, a goal for a 1-0 win vs Algeria in extra time. Amazing game.

Never say die! Go USA!

With all the horrible breaks they have gotten, they deserve that one.

USA v. Ghana in the Round of 16. Could not have asked for a better set up than what we've got. I'd rather play Ghana than Germany or Serbia. And, if we win, we get the winner of Uruguay-South Korea. On the other side, there's Mexico, Argentina, Germany, and England! Damn, that's a tough quartet. As an added bonus, we also have a chance to avenge our loss to Ghana 4 years ago, which knocked us out of the WC.

are there any providers from Ghana in the area, I want to do a session with her while we are watching the game!

Let me demonstrate my soccer ignorance.

How long is a soccer match?

Do they have halves or periods?

If I recall the clock adds up rather than ticking down. What is it adding up to?

OFF :-)

Off, with your picture collection, why worry about soccer? :-)

A match is 90 minutes of 2 equal halves. Each half may have time added at the referees discretion for time lost due to injury or other causes. Players are entitled to a break between halves not to exceed 15 minutes.

The clock ticks up to 90 minutes and beyond for added time. Incidents (goals scored, disciplinary actions etc) are recorded by the minute into the match.

Good questions. Now show us some more pictures.

So tired of this faux soccer interest...sorry we lost but not surprised. Soon things will return to normal with it being in the background until 2014
