Bush vs. Obama

You have a right to your opinion, but not to the facts

16) Vice President Dick Cheney shot individual in hunting accident
17) Accepted introduction of intelligent design into science curriculum as an alternative to evolution

19) Many Americans call this a job well done.
Barack Obama facts:
1) According to many he is a Racist, Black, White, Mix, Non-Citizen, Citizen, Muslim, Christian, Communist, Socialist, Fascist, Terrorist, Anti-Christ, etc; resulting in the most diverse human being ever
2) Passed the largest economic recovery bill in American history which resulted in additional tax credits for first-time homebuyers, college students, energy savers, & anyone employed

11) Accepts science being taught in science classrooms rather than the supernatural
12) Lifted restrictions on federally funded embryonic stem cell research
13) Many Americans call this man a son of a bitch and want to kill him.
I appreciate views on both sides as long as facts and not opinions are discussed. Now, don’t bust my balls over this. Just get a bj like Bill Clinton, and you will feel better. Now, let the shitstorm begin.
The argument for or against a God or a Creator cannot be proven nor disproven, making creationism and intelligent design unfalsifiable, thus, non-scientific. It is more accurate to say we do not know, rather than to settle for that outside the realm of science. For those who begin with certainty shall only end in doubt.

You have a right to your opinion, but not to the facts
George Bush facts:
1) Stated weapons of mass destruction had been stockpiled in Iraq; to date no such evidence has been recovered, yet resulted in a war resulting in multiple casualties Except the sworn testimony of Iraqi officers and satelite intel on massive movment of WMD's to Syria while the left whinned and the punch was telegraphed.
2) Spent the surplus and bankrupted the treasury resulting in the largest annual deficit in history, and a threatened Social Security The annual deficit being accumulated today dwarfs any before. He tried to save Social Security, now the very people who said there was no need say it's in danger!
3) Deregulated banking allowing banks to provide loans to those who were not financially prepared for loans; resulted in an economic recession resulting in multiple home foreclosures & multiple jobless claims HUD issued orders under Carter which were carried on under both Bushs, and accellerated under Clinton forceing Fannie and Freddie to under right mortgages for people who could not afford them, hence the term, "sub-prime". When Bush asked for more over sight on Fannie, Barny Franks (whose boyfriend was an ex-executieve of Fannie just like "O"'s treasury secretary) said there was no need. . . a couple of months before the bottom dropped out.
4) Deregulated oil & gas companies by creating law setting a $75 million cap on damages; resulting in taxpayer responsibility over $75 million cap by creating additional gas tax. As opposed to what in the way of an energy policy from Big O? Jack the price of energy up so high Americans can't afford it?
5) Deregulated oil & gas companies by creating law allowing use of unknown chemicals involved in fracking without environmental conscious oversight; resulting in groundwater contamination & unknown air dispersants like seen by BP over the current Gulf of Mexico oil spill Nonesense, prove it.
6) Deregulated oil & gas companies resulting in the highest gas pump prices to date Check the prices in socialist controlled Europe, you know, Big "O"'s heros.
7) Bailed out banking & auto industry resulting in taxpayer responsibility With complete and continued support from Big O and his democrat cronies.
8) Issued multiple stimulus checks which resulted in the largest US deficit to date resulting in balancing budget with increased taxes, to which the current administration is now held responsible for The "current administration" was in the Senate and could have voted against these. . . but didn't. Instead he wants to increase them! Haven't read the news lately I guess, have you?
9) Maintained status quo on healthcare resulting in the largest US healthcare premiums to date Health insurance premiums have gone up 20% in the last three months. Status Quo was way the hell ahead of government run beurocracy.
10) Permitted torture interrogation techniques resulting in water-boarding individual prisoners over 200 times with no success If there was no success then why won't the current regime release the documents Cheany specifically asked for. . . the ones that prove this was a very effective intel gathering technique? The only problem is they didn't kill the bastards when they were done with them.
11) Destroyed America’s global standing resulting in Muslim world of 1.5 billion despising US, along with multiple allies Right, the muslims used to love us alright, how about the Arab Legion that was one of the last SS units still fighting when Berlin fell?
12) Took the biggest world sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the largest diplomatic failure in world history) Prove it.
13) Responded late with Hurricane Katrina aid despite having a week notice of impending weather Responded immidiately to Katrina and was told to pound salt by the democrat governor and mayor.
14) Dodged military draft Served in the Air guard, any idea how dangerous it is flying fighters?
15) Wife Laura Bush killed driver in auto accident Is that all you've got????
16) Vice President Dick Cheney shot individual in hunting accident Your point???
17) Accepted introduction of intelligent design into science curriculum as an alternative to evolution As do a great many tax payers, you know, the folks who pay the bill and raise the kids. The kids don't belong to the government.
18) Cut funding for embryonic stem cell research Federal funding only, again, tax payer's money, again, no where in the Constitution does it mention the federal government has a right to spend money on research of any kind.
19) Many Americans call this a job well done.
Barack Obama facts:
1) According to many he is a Racist, Black, White, Mix, Non-Citizen, Citizen, Muslim, Christian, Communist, Socialist, Fascist, Terrorist, Anti-Christ, etc; resulting in the most diverse human being ever Too bad that isn't in the job description. . . we need a President who puts America's priorities first. . . please provide a single link to this one ever having said that.
2) Passed the largest economic recovery bill in American history which resulted in additional tax credits for first-time homebuyers, college students, energy savers, & anyone employed A complete and absolute failure, read the news today about the default rate.
3) Passed the largest healthcare reform bill in American history resulting in the inability of insurance companies to deny coverage based on previous conditions We will see to it that it is never funded, and in 2012 is repealed. Socialism does not work. . it simply does not.
4) Passed the largest healthcare reform bill in American history resulting in the expansion of children’s healthcare coverage financed by a 61-cent per pack cigarette tax increase After repeatedly saying he would not raise middle class taxes during the campaign.
5) Passed the largest healthcare reform bill in American history resulting in the F bomb by Vice President Joe Biden Joe Biden IS and F bomb.
6) Set a fixed timetable for withdrawing US combat forces from Iraq & Afghanistan A particularly stupid and criminal act. Do some reading about the casualty rates associated with rear-guard actions. My son is going there in the Spring to be part of that rear-guard and the SOB in charge wants him to do it with his hands tied.
7) Abolished torture interrogation techniques Stupid.
8) Signed a law meant to improve the ability of women who allege pay discrimination to sue their employer Redundant.
9) Lifted travel and remittance restrictions for Cuban Americans who seek to travel more frequently to the island and send more US currency to immediate families The same Cuba that confiscated tens of millions of US taxpayers' private property.
10) Created an initial 20 billion dollar relief package for those suffering damages caused by Gulf of Mexico oil spill paid for by BP (Big Polluters?) Gave BP (one of his biggest campaign contributors) political cover and a chance to limit their liability to chump change. Not one cent of it will go to the people affected (unless of course they are union thugs or major democrat operators).
11) Accepts science being taught in science classrooms rather than the supernatural What, like the global warming BS? I've made a good living as a scientest and this is laughable.
12) Lifted restrictions on federally funded embryonic stem cell research Show me where in the Constituion this is allowed.
13) Many Americans call this man a son of a bitch and want to kill him. Prove it, name one person who wants to kill him, just one.
I appreciate views on both sides as long as facts and not opinions are discussed. Now, don’t bust my balls over this. Just get a bj like Bill Clinton, and you will feel better. Now, let the shitstorm begin.

George Bush facts:
2) Spent the surplus and bankrupted the treasury resulting in the largest annual deficit in history, and a threatened Social Security

Actually Bush's deficit's were small comapred to Obama. $400 billion vs $1.3 trillion.

3) Deregulated banking allowing banks to provide loans to those who were not financially prepared for loans; resulted in an economic recession resulting in multiple home foreclosures & multiple jobless claims

Bush did not deregulate the banking industry. Clinton did. The law that deregulated the industry was signed in 2000 before Bush was president.

4) Deregulated oil & gas companies by creating law setting a $75 million cap on damages; resulting in taxpayer responsibility over $75 million cap by creating additional gas tax

Wrong again. The $75 million cap was created in the early 90's.

6) Deregulated oil & gas companies resulting in the highest gas pump prices to date

High gas prices have nothing to do with deregulation.

9) Maintained status quo on healthcare resulting in the largest US healthcare premiums to date

Bush didn't really maintain the status quo. He did get prescription drug coverage added to Medicare. You can debate whether that was wise, but it was a pretty big change.

15) Wife Laura Bush killed driver in auto accident

This is relevant how?

Barack Obama facts:
2) Passed the largest economic recovery bill in American history which resulted in additional tax credits for first-time homebuyers, college students, energy savers, & anyone employed

Resulted in blowing up the deficit, transferring money to broke state gov'ts, did nothing to fix the housing market and unemployment is at 10%. Thanks a lot.

3) Passed the largest healthcare reform bill in American history resulting in the inability of insurance companies to deny coverage based on previous conditions

Will only make insurance more expensive and will further add to the deficit. Nice.

Looks like the typical leftist take on things along with exaggerations, misrepresentations, partial truths, and irrelevant issues.

Obama "Passed" what? Gas? Who is going to pay for all that? Some people choose to ignore history (if it was presented in their insufficient educational environment).

Soon, we will see increased interest rates followed by shocking levels of inflation. The Fed can't put it off forever. Your money will be deflated and millions more jobs lost. I don't mean to sound so negative - it is just a fact of numbers and economics. You can't spend other peoples money when it is all gone.

....now back to our hobby and fun stuff.

I just love how folks try to claim that Bush had a surplus when he took office.

Check this:
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/r...ebt_histo5.htm

While Bush was elected in November of 2000, he did not take office until January 2001.
The table on that web site shows the ACTUAL freaking DEBT this country had prior to Bush taking office.

Anyone claiming Clinton created a surplus really needs to pull their head out of their ass and look up the facts. Those "surplus'" failed to count the SS debt, the Medicare debt and so much other debt it was nothing more than a fantasy writer's dream.

Date..................Dollar Amount
09/30/2001 5,807,463,412,200.06
09/30/2000 5,674,178,209,886.86

Never forget what happened on 9/11/2001 when we were attacked and any plans Dubya had when he ran for office and took the oath were so side tracked by the attack that EVERYTHING changed.

Wow, a political thread! Unusual here. So far, it seems civil, let me try to keep that going.

1. Gotta say the Laura Bush accident thing does not seem to belong on the list. What does that have to do with anything? Cheap shot at best

2. I voted for Obama. Disgusted over two wars and building deficits. However, disappointed because I wanted so much to believe the transparency and openess pitch. Am not feeling it at all.

3. Barney Frank, circa 9 months or so prior to implosion of Fannie and Freddie. Some quote to the effect that they were fundamentally in good shape and should expand the mission. These two bailouts will far surpass any other bailout. No comment from Mr Frank.

4. Was in favor of doing " something" about Health care as a self employed individual. Status quo ( at least for me) not an option. Many unintended consequences follow the bill. Like your plan/ doctor, not a problem, no impact. Unless your Dr drops your ass due to Medicaid reimbursements or your company decides to pay fines and drop your company coverage. However, I still remain hopeful we can "tune" this thing going forward.

Dunno man. Completely hated Bush due to the bad foreign policies and religion factor he kinda threw into the White House. He hid a lot of things from the public. Lots of republicans on this board... interesting.
