Austin's Brazilian Carnavale

I have been hearing many things about the Brazilian Carnavale that takes place every first weekend in February. I seriously want to check it out. For those of you who have been, what are your opinions about it? If I plan on going can anyone offer me any advice on what to wear if I don't wish to go in cosutme?

Any and every visit to Brazil is worthwhile the place is amazing: food, geography, ethnically diverse populace of friendly, beautiful and sometimes shocking hotties. Trees particularly fond of Rio. Carnivale is to Brazil what Mardi Gras is to NOLA, just on a bigger more glorious scale. Though hobbying in Brazil was more expensive than Trees expected, the quality is IMHO can't be beat anywhere in the world, though Thailand is another great option too.

Downside of going during Carnivale, crowds, hard to book/expensive flights and hotels.

If you got the cash, go and you will NOT regret it.

I think the OP was referring to Carnival Brasiliero at the Palmer Events Center. www.sambaparty.com. Haven't been, hear its a blast. There was a thread on it, probably in Coed, about this time last year or the year before.

Carnival Brasiliero is always fun. You can wear what you want, but most outfits tend to be, um, brief. Big dance floor, nonstop music.

We have been there 7 or 8 times and it is a blast......of course being swingers we go as a couple and usually find other swingers there......it's pretty much anything goes, but it is loud and there are a lot of drunk people dancing....

This is the big party event of the year! I haven't missed it in over 25 years. wear as little as possible, they have vendors who can paint a costume on you there if u get there early. It is Austin's most awesome party along with eeyores birthday party in late april. the key to fun is wear a costume and leave your inhibitions at home. Samba the night away and don't fuck under the bleachers as the cops always haul off some over eager horndogs from under there. the lines for the ladies room are ridiculous so pee outside on the smoking patio in the portapotties, the night is too short to wait in long bathroom lines. whiz I prolly know you....

Wife and I have been several times. Great fun and it is definitely an event that keeps Austin weird. Definitely a swinger's paradise too. Always a few parties after (or during) the event.

last year was our first time, but we'll be back.. one of the better adult events in town..

I had a great time when I went.. the only thing was seeing all those very fit gay guys in thongs made me realize I need to work out more...

Getting close. Who is going to be there? And what will you be wearing? Since my wife is a teacher and has a morality clause in her contract, she has to dress rather conservatively. I will be wearing green and gold in celebration of the festivities. Many lifestyle couples will be in attendance.

I will be there for sure. Me and touchlush are going as slutty roller derby girls on skates. I should be east to spot and please molest me or my strap on as i go skating by with my boobs out.

Thanks for the replies. I really like Speed Racer's idea. I will be going in something green and gold, and maybe something as simple as a Brazilian T-shirt. That, are just wear all black. Sue, if that is a dare challenge, I'm game ;-)

It's wicked, just wicked....

I've been creating costumes and head dresses for my clients to wear to Carnaval Brasileiro Austin 2013 for the past 8 months. Putting on finishing touches now.... Feathers, pearls, semi precious stones, silk bikini's, masks, capes, bustier tops and transparent bodysuits. Very much like the costuming you would find in Brazil. It's a fun hobby!

Last year, I started creating edible bikinis and thongs out of dried fruits, woven fruit leathers, Mike & Ike's and Jelly Belly's. This year includes Conversation Hearts, Swedish Fish, and giant Gummy Bears....With this year's Peanut Butter theme, I did a Mr. Peanut....all I can say is you will know it when you see it!!! To include matching jewelry and head pieces.... I do enjoy attending and watching my clients being devoured to the beat of the music, and by the whim of their lover or lovers....
