Why are girls getting away from posting numbers?

As a hobbiest who travels at times and who's schedule rarely lets me schedule days in advance, it's frustrating when providers only communicate initially through email or pm. Phones & text are so much more immediate and enable shorter notice screening & scheduling for the client.

This visit to Austin has really been a miss as it seems almost every girl I've seen that interests me only communicates via email or pm. And frankly, they haven't been great at getting back quickly. As a result, you feel the need to send out about 10 emails or pms in hope that one will work out. This is bad for everyone since it leads to cancellations/backing out if more than 1 responds.

I like to see different providers, especially when I travel & with the "turnover" in this hobby, you can never be certain a favorite is still around when you return to a city. (In fact, I have about 4 or 5 favorites in Austin that have now moved on. )

I've been in this hobby for a while & I'm definitely seeing a trend in this direction. Can the ladies give me some insight as to why they think more & more providers are going to email/pm for initial contact?

Now I'll sit back and wait for someone to return emails or pms... hopefully it happens before I leave. lol

My guess is it cuts down on Lookie Lou's , probably increases the odds that you actually are serious about scheduling .

...and just as I post this, my number 1 texts and says it's a go... lol Forget all the bitching, but it's still a good question.

This is not the only reason why but one thing is web crawlers steal our numbers if we post them and then sell them to phone solicitors and we get junk texts and phone calls from telemarketers.

I think its more of a sense of hightened security more than anything, the technology today to trace calls, reverse addresses, etc is more advanced even just a couple of years ago when burner phones just started popping up, at least that is what a few ladies have told me, that its easier to screen email and pm messages.

Easy for me to explain. Google. I do post a GV # now, but during my previous years of 'playing' I posted my # for all to see. Jump ahead to last year and when I am told by a legit dating site prospect that he had NO desire to see me as he googled my # and discovered a review of my 'other' activities.
Call it a 'Doh!' moment or an epiphany, of sorts when I realized that one review (ter?) could bite me in the fanny x infinity ;-)

Some women, like myself, are not able or willing to take a call and drop everything when the phone rings. If a guy just wants to 'bust a nut' and one of twenty+ women will do that for him - great! There are plenty of girls here who value the $ over anything else and make themselves easily available and reachable.
The men who I choose to see, are specific in what qualities they require and don't mind waiting/taking time with Pm's and emails.

Plus, if I am in a IRL situation with friends/family then I don't want the stress of those worlds colliding :-)

The GV is new so we shall how that works...

Good answers. I thought it might be something related to security. I agree with you Aphrodite & dealing with my favorites at home is always preferable & their quality is appreciated. When a guy is travelling though, it isn't possible to always schedule in that way & pm's & emails seem to go into a black box of unknowing sometimes. BTW, I use GV for the same reasons.

The need for privacy, and the reduction of "window-shopping" are two very good reasons that many ladies do not post phone numbers.

I have changed my phone number a few times while in the hobby. So, for me, it is easier to just post the number so I can receive texts from fellas who are trying to reach ME. But I certainly see why many gals don't put their info in public.
