Last night's highlight was Pinata protest. "Piņata Protest is an accordion fronted punk rock band from San Antonio, Texas that fuses the raw essence of South Texas conjunto with the warp speed tempos and attitude of punk rock to create an infectious and bracing South Texas slamdance" . They will be hard to top tonight.
What a gracious thing for him to do .... Ya lucky gal ya

tonight's highlights were Billy Joe Shaver and Joe King Carrasco and el Molino. here is a description of the later "Their blend of Tex-Mex mania, cumbias, rancheras, and even flat-out West Texas rock & roll is a heady swirl that is rarely equaled in the scientific labs of record production. It takes a certain demented dedication to chase the sound for all these years, and only Carrasco has been able to capture the heartfelt passion that makes this kind of rock & roll as necessary as air"

I'm glad you are enjoying them! I just thought it wrong to ask for anything for them as I was given them. I also gave a couple to Tonya. I said I would collect on them as well, but haven't. And probably won't. I didn't on last years either.

Thanks Sue for the shout out. Its nice to know its appreciated!

Well to continue my sxsw adventures....yesterdays highlights were El Vez (The Mexican Elvis) and Kid Congo.
For the unaware among you.... ElVez rocks!! "A modern multicultural hybrid of Americana and Mexicano, he is more than entertainment, he is a thinking man’s Elvis, a post-modern King with a Latin twist, the Chicano experience presented and told through the songs of Elvis. Imagine Ceasar Chavez fronting a Punk Rock band, Liberace teaching Chicano Studies, Tom Jones singing about the Virgin de Guadalupe, throw in multiple costumes changes, dancing back up singers and a rocking band and you have imagined El Vez!" Yesterday I saw his new punk rock review show where he played classic Roxy Music, NY Dolls and Stooges covers with his new hot band with a sexy as hell Latina on lead guitar. Today doing south congress day parties and then more debauchery on 6th street tonight probably. I can't thank you enough for these wristbands and touchlush and I want to give you an incredible doubles massages that will blast your socks (among other things) off. Please let us spoil you silly for this wonderful gift.
