hotels in Midland/Odessa

It seems like every hotel I would stay at 3 stars or better is like 250+... is there another way to get a lesser rate when visiting on a week day? seem really high and I would love to come and enjoy you gents but jeez 300/night in Midland TX really? It is like NYC prices lol

Hey sweetie try the midtown hotel it's 2.5 stars but trust me with all the renovations going on to in it... It's really nice now idk if they offer a breakfast or any other acomidations but the rooms are nice and clean. Think price range is from $120-$200 roughly.

Also, booking at least 14 days in advance will save you $100 per night easily.
thanks for all the info! I found a place and it wasnt too bad price wise!!
Weekdays are higher because of the working week days. I was told the workers comes in and worked all week then go home on the weekend.
I paid $175 a night for fri -sat , $249 for sunday. Nothing less. 3 star hotel is better. I would come back sometime if I have a friend to share the room with.

Yeah definitely read in another thread that trying to book something decent (2.5 star or better) last minute is a really bad idea. Made a note to self if/when I consider West TX esp Midland-Odessa to get the ball rolling about 1 month ahead of time.

that has been like that for a long time.....makes it hard on us providers traveling there who have low donations to make the trip!

have fun

Ya, in midland you start out at McDonalds making frys at 12.50/hr. rates are crazy and unbearable. Lubbock is a lot more friendly price wise, despite the rumor of an oil boom happening here in 2014
