BELEN, N.M. (AP) — Two women who led New Mexico police on a high-speed chase that ended with a body being found in the trunk of their car are facing murder charges.
Court records say 18-year-old Jennifer McKee and 20-year-old Ashlee Gurule have been charged with the murder of a man authorities say may be linked to a cash-for-sex relationship with the two women. A 16-year-old, who was also in the car during the high-speed chase, is facing a conspiracy charge. According to investigators, the man, who has not been identified, was killed in Albuquerque Friday morning.
State Police says the three women wanted to dump the body when an officer tried to stop them near Los Lunas.
It was unclear if any of the women had attorneys.
