JJ,
A great win for the Spurs in the Conference Semis against the Golden State Warriors, it would have been even better if the Spurs were actually in the finals and playing the Miami Heat. Thanks for being proactive and merging the threads. I understand editorial prerogative and artistic license, and I apologize if there were a few SATX members who were excited about the big win and not contributing valuable intel to the members of the board (apologies to you to rockerrick, it must have been a burden),but did my message subject line of "Manuuuuuu" violate some unwritten rule that begged for correction?
Kind of jumping the gun aren't you? Spurs pulled it out in the end but were getting their ass kicked most of the game. If Manu had missed you would be blaming the officials. Spurs should get by GS but OKC is a different story. Even without Westbrook they will be tough to beat. If they meet Miami in the finals I truly hope they win in 7 but I doubt they will.
Sorry Simon. I don't follow Basketball (obviously). A few threads popped up with similar content (and really no explanation) so I decided to merge them. The Lebron comment really threw me off. I assumed that they had played and Miami lost against the Spurs.
Spurs weren't so lucky last night. They got their ass beat two games in a row. They were able to salvage the first game but you can't continually get down by 20 and expect to come back. They better start playing better or this will be the end of their season. I'm not a Spurs fan but I really do want them to make it to the finals.
Just because the Spurs lost tonight does not mean the series is over and that they won't advance to the finals. Heck, it's 2 to to 2 and we still have home court advantage. And where the hell is our support for the Spurs this year. The are almost no threads or comment or support for our Spurs mentioned on various threads here in San Antonio. It is unforturnate the LN is no long on the board to help motivate the rest of us. As a group our support for the Spurs sucks. I say GO SPURS.
