Well ladies and gents, State Senator Leticia Van De Putte has made it her sole duty as a "Democrat" (which I would have thought meant liberal, you know for basic human rights.) to attack the sex work industry. Thanks to her and our apathetic lack of interest in doing something about the legality of things, because we wouldn't get the nerve to lobby or stand on corners waving signs in protest, locking arms... because of this, we have a major problem. They passed a new anti-prostitution bill which has absolutely nothing to do with human trafficking and everything to do with being moral police.

Thanks to this Senator, I reckon problems could arise, specifically for a hobbyist or two as she seems to be a sex negative feminist who wants to directly target men. She is of the school of Andrea Dworkin, a man-hater clearly.

Our house and senate passed this law without a blink, nobody was actively lobbying again, I said this so many times and people ignore me.

Texas and other places like it will never EVER change their ways when there is only a one way monologue being chanted about how "Sex Work" = "Human Trafficking".

So please, find any reason you can to protest this senator and please vote against her. I think it is time someone systematically researched every official actively pursuing sex workers and their clientele in this state and wrongfully accusing them of slave trading. If that has to be me then so be it, but it is about time you guys took this seriously.

I for one am very tired of consensual sex being policed. I am tired of misleading language like "Human Trafficking" when they mean "Consensual Sex work" lumped together with the underground sex slave trade. The two are COMPLETELY different, one is a human right and the other is an infringement on them.

Passed by Senate and House and unlikely to be vetoed by the Gov.

However, much of the Act is contrary to Federal law and contrary to case law in the federal courts.

All of that, however, doesn't stop LE from trying to charge and enforce.

So all need to be alert and more careful that usual.
