Ali-likes good food... I'm ISO the best food CS has to offer.

Upscale: The Republic. Veritas. I like Messina Hoff for the atmosphere as much as the food. Christophers has great food but can be noisy. Wood floors and etc.

Italian is hit or miss here, but a new restaurant is open, Amico Nave, on Villa Maria between Texas and College Main. Very good food, reasonable prices, reasonable wine prices (!) too. I am also a bit partial to Cenares, as much for the atmosphere as the food.

I could go on, but you asked for best and I think I have already named too many....
What type of food does the Republic serve?

Thank you

Ali
The Republic is a steakhouse. Another good one is Madden's in downtown Bryan.

More moderate but still good are Arbuelos (Mexican), Genghis Grill (Mongolian Stir Fry), TGI Fridays, and BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. BJ's had the most varied menu of any restaurant I've been to at reasonable prices.

Get off the beaten path and down the road to Hullabaloo Diner (for breakfast, especially)... Outstanding.
