Lake Charles... Safest. What/Where is Nicest Area To Stay During My Visit?

L' auberge has the nicest rooms. You would have to meet in the lobby to bring up to your room, they post people by elevators checking keys. Nice hotels right by it also.

Pujo street cafe has good food.
Burger Barn has onion rings to die for along with great burgers.

The last time or 2 I was at LauBerge they had quit checking keys ... The garden suites there never have ....
But LauBerge is VERY pricy .....

Thanks to everyone that chimed in, I didnt get to eat at any L.C. classic places, hopefully I will find some good seafood in Lafayette.

Nevertheless, I prefer Don's Hut to Blue Dog.
Field of Dreams south of Broussard had the best gumbo IMO and some great spare ribs...actually smoked not steamed.

But lets get back to LC,....what Cajun Girls are delicious there? (now that the op knows where to stay - LOL)
