Laredo

SO.... I went to Laredo a few weeks ago. Against a lot of mummers and mumbalings...asking Why Laredo etc etc...I actually had fun and it was ok. It just amazed me how everyone that knows me was concerned for my safety. Then when I get back to Dallas I see this on a big ole bill board.. www.leredoissafe.com
http://laredoissafe.com/

I just laughed. If I would of seen it before I went I probably would not have gone. Because if you have to pay thousands of dollars in other cities to say that your city is safe odds are your city is not safe.

I mean whats your take on that and the web site?

I will be coming back end of June.but will remain inside after dark unless i'm taken out by two sweet wonderful members again.
lived in laredo all my life, not so bad as people make it out to be
Laredo is not that bad at all unless you go across to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico then you'd be in some shit! Laredo is fun and I love it there. I just know to stay in at night because it tends to get crazy at night. Other than that, I have fun at Mall del Norte and the import stores down San Bernardo. As a matter a fact, I need to get a few gifts for some friends at the import store. Gotta love El Molcajete!

And not to forget my Don Juan's spices too!! Great for cooking especially BBQ!!!
Used to import products from mexico and ship them through at the Laredo crossing. It's so safe the drug cartel leaders keep their families in that town. Those People live in million dollar houses and nobody in the family has ever had a job, IRS oughta check them out instead of the tea party members.

@Hiker 78: Whether partly true or not, your post makes no sense in the context of this thread.
What I mean is be extremely careful it's always alot easier to get yourself in trouble than it is to get yourself out especially down there where there are extraordinarily evil, rich and powerful people. My dr. In that town had to have a body guard for his kids because of the threats he received.
There are better opportunities elsewhere that don't have the level of risk that town does. I Did business there for twelve years and wish I was still able too, but money isn't everything.
@hiker
in your first post you said it was so safe cartel families live in laredo and then in your second post you say your doctor needed a bodyguard for his family. which one is it?
