Montgomery advice...

I have never visited Montgomery before and was hoping I could get a little advice...

Where should I stay?

(Ladies) How safe is the Montgomery area for the hobby?

Restaurant recommendations? Things to see? Etc.

Mr. Gus' Ristorante (Greek / Italian) and D'road Cafe (international cuisine) at Bell Road and Atlanta Highway are excellent choices. Also the Eastside Grill (steaks, burgers and the like) by the Wal-Mart on the Atlanta Highway is very good. All of these restaurants are just a short drive from the hotels off I-85 Exit 11.
