Looking for tips and advice

Jules Jaguar's Avatar
Hello everyone

I am thinking of moving to Vegas at the end of the year. I have a job opportunity and I am seriously considering it.

The hobby is wayyyy different there than it is in Dallas where I currently hobby. I absolutely do not want to stop providing. I really do enjoy it.

If any of you can help me with any information that may be helpful about learning the ropes there please pm me.

I don't want to be one of those girls who get guys from the casinos on the strip I would like to continue to be able to screen and be a safe and upscale provider I am only familiar with Eccie p411 and ter. If there are any local boards or sites or special screening tips I'd love to try to get familiar with them before I make the big move.

Thanks in advance

Don't develop GPS just because you're moving to Vegas.

Contact Rani Lane (http://www.eccie.net/providers.php?do=view&id=16199). She can tell you tons about the scene in LV.

Why comment if you have no truly helpful advice to offer this young lady, for fuck's sake? She wants to ensure her safety in Las Vegas & it seems that you just wanted to talk crap. Immaturity is an entirely unattractive quality. IMO, the people best poised to assist Jules would be successful providers, not hobbyists. GPS, indeed

Jules, I'd be happy to talk with you about Vegas, from all sides of it. It certainly is a lot different from Dallas! LOL
Yes, definitely reach out to Rani. She's very knowledgeable about all aspects of the hobby and is business savvy as well.

I would go ahead and research the market here, kind of have an idea of the volume you'd like and how that breaks down $$ wise. Vegas is an entirely different hobbying environment that can sustain higher rates for reputable, quality providers. It has nothing to do with GPS. It's called working smarter not harder. And if you can get a higher rate and it's helps you maintain a level of volume that keeps you sane and attracts your specific clientele, why not? For every naysayer, there are plenty who won't blink an eye.

You already know that the demo from TX to LV is very different and there is a reason why this board, though the mods here are fab, is slow. I would strongly consider getting a website and increasing your rates if you move here. Just my .02 cents.

But yes, Rani would be my top choice to give you some guidance. Don't hesitate to get in touch, she doesn't bite unless asked... lol

Good Luck!

Jules, I think we have talked in chat a few times, and it is very refreshing to see a lady who wants to do things the correct AND safe way.

I have not met Rani, but know she has the respect of most. Her offer to help only proves what a good person she is. As far as Chica, he has helped me with information concerning my upcoming trip to Vegas that is more appreciated than he'll ever know....especially with this being my Vegas virgin visit.

I have been reading, planning, accepting advise, and anticipating for my trip for 4 months now. Research and questions are your best friend.

May your move to Sin City be smooth and enjoyable, and best of luck in the job phase as well.

Here's my POV:

Vegas is a tourist market. Like similar tourist markets, there's a skew in the client base that leans to more visiting guys who have hotel rooms than local guys. Your "regulars" will more likely be frequent visitors to Vegas than locals. Frequent can mean 1-2 times a year because of some business convention they attend every year to whenever they feel like a weekend here.

When you consider the options that are available to guys (from casino girls, agencies that get girls/dancers to your room, legal brothels in the next county) you won't see much business if you demand a deposit (although you may want it for longer appointments or securing a temp incall).

There are some slow times in Vegas. Most providers who stay in Vegas will tell you when they are. It tends to be when it's super hot outside or late in the year when business travel to Vegas tails off.

Since your catering to a group of guys that tend to be visiting, advertising and word of mouth will be critical. Guys only check out Vegas ad boards and forums as their trip is approaching, if they bother to check at all (cause let's face it, they want that off the cuff Hangover experience that has zero planning involved). Making those guys aware that you're here when they check for ads/reviews is crucial.

Many providers will not check the forums. When you consider the number of Vegas ads posted on sites like P411 or D-C and the providers that are active here on ECCIE, they aren't "desperate". They won't respond to ISO often (sorry guys, you need to do your own research and get something confirmed in advance instead of just throwing out a request for availability tomorrow night).

Don't expect every appointment to happen. There's plenty of reasons why a client will NCNS or cancel (and I'm sure you'll have the odd emergency that will prevent you from making an appointment). I would hazard a guess and say 50% of appointments don't happen. Maybe it's a number I'm pulling outta my ass but be prepared. As I stated previously, it's difficult to secure a deposit for those 1-2 hour outcalls when other options exist.

Doing the right thing every time will help. Having a reputation for being reliable, prompt, on time, providing great service and good times is difficult but valued.
