East Side Tubes offers two options for those who want to float: either paying $15 for a tube and one shuttle ride back or $25 for unlimited shuttle rides for the day. The prices are somewhat higher than what you would find in San Marcos and New Braunfels, but for Austinites, the money saved on gas definitely makes East Side Tubes more affordable.
Walker offers a $5 discount if tubers bring back more trash than they took with them in an effort to keep the river and beaches clean and change the reputation that tubing has earned

I migh check that out. Been wanting to tube the Guadelupe but the water level is too low.

Can't tube te Comal because they have super restrictive laws on drinks and music.
Tried it 2 weeks ago, most of the ride the water levels are pretty low, aka not deep enough to go past yiur knees..but overall a good float, about 2 miles long and even passes through "Secret Beach"..they allow you to drink beer while floating and there is NO police presence

Park at Little Ponderosa and they will shuttle you to the drop and pick you up for a ride back to their lot. I think it was $13/person for the shuttle.

It is a LOT of fun! I went last weekend. Its fun to float, drink and chill with friends. Get there early on the weekends though, they run out of rental tubes pretty quick. Or you can buy one cheap from Walmart

San Marcos is the way to go. No container bans. The one in town is a nice 1 1/2 float. The best is dons fish camp. 3 1/2 float and awesome scenery. Very little rules too like up river. Comal = too many rules and stay away from Guadalupe horseshoe too low. Guadalupe is better downstream.
