Kudos to Senator Wendy Davis on the filibuster hope she run's for governor in 2014. Can't understand why the conservative nut jobs who are so adamantly against big government and regulation think it's ok to govern a woman's uterus. Their religious beliefs getting in the way of reality again .............. Enjoy this Betty Bowers video !!

It's strange how liberals are 180 degrees out of phase when it comes to abortion and capital punishment.

Liberals only want to kill the innocent.
Conservatives think only the guilty should die.

Go figure...
Funny, I thought it was the CONSERVATIVES that only want to kill. They love killing in large numbers. They can't get into unneeded wars fast enough. They seem to trip over each other claiming we need to get involved in one needless war after another in the Middle East. BTW, they just set a record of 500 murders here in the Texas prison systems. Sanctity of life.......what horse shit!
Obama has kept up Bush's wars and added, Yemen, Libya and Syria. It's not your body, a baby has separate DNA. She can't win in Texas preaching abortions, she will just get the conservatives fired up to beat her. Her only hope is amnesty and then the Castros from SA will run for governor and senate.
Can't let false statements go as fact and not call them out. Obama has NOT sent troops into Yemen, Libya and Syria despite the clamoring for such actions by Senators McCain and Graham.

There are at least ten known who were executed and it is highly likely that they were innocent, but executed anyway. Often prosecutors and judges destroy the evidence after an execution so the truth cannot come out and defense attorneys tend to work on those they can save rather than lost causes to know the truth that conservatives don't seem to care about.

Florida's conservative legislature and governor just passed a law that well get anyone on death row killed a lot quicker so we don't have to worry about who is innocent and who is guilty anymore. IMHO that is conservatives for you. Why don't we just let police and citizens like George Zimmerman execute anyone they think is guilty of a capital crime or who just needs killin' and save us all the cost of trial, incarceration and those damn appeals? I mean, look at Michael Morton just up in Round Rock who, though he wasn't on death row, served 25 years for a crime he didn't commit with no record at all and was described as a "monster" and he wasn't even a minority who are incarcerated at 2x to 4X the rate of whites for drug offenses alone even though rates of use are documented as similar.

I won't argue that there aren't some people who probably deserve execution or even need killing and are guilty of crimes that deserve that punishment, but I will argue that none of us humans are wise enough or perfect enough to really get it right on who those are even 10% of the time much less 1% of the time. How many innocent people dying for a crime they didn't commit is too many? How many is too many if one of them is you or your loved ones?

Besides, it is less expensive, probably more humane and can be rectified if we don't execute people. The death penalty is barbaric in how it is administered and sends a message to society that it is OK to kill as long as it is the state. Turns out most evangelicals and the Catholic church are officially against the death penalty, but you never hear them do anything about that anymore though they are screaming about abortion.

I've held a 20 week old stillborn baby in my arms. At 20 weeks I can tell you, that's a baby that is being killed. I know of many babies, my daughter being one, that were born at 24 weeks and are now perfectly happy and healthy little boys and girls. These late term abortions are sick and disgusting.

Also, it takes two people to make that baby. Why aren't the father's rights being discussed? That baby is just as much his as it is hers. If she wants to kill it and he doesn't, who wins out? She does every time and it's not right.

I just love, love, love fucking preggos with them big old dark brown nips. I'm getting a boner right now just thinking about it. If I had my way, them preggos would be required by law to have their cooters sewn shut until 52 weeks so I could bang 'em for a whole year! If 42 weeks is good, then 52 oughta be even better. And who don't want the best thing possible fer them babies oughta be tarred and feathered. Who's wid me! Let's string 'em up!

Abortion is clearly the most polarizing debate of our time. But there is one tidbit that when I found out, did create a buzz. The woman who brought suit in Roe vs. Wade, demanding the right to have an abortion, was not pregnant at the time suit was brought. The entire abortion-rights side of the argument is based on a lie. I guess she thought that since she was already going to be killing, lying in order to do it wasn't that big a deal.

I find it interesting that a woman who is pregnant, involved in a car crash, and subsequently loses the fetus can sue for damages, while that same woman, carrying a healthy fetus that she just flat doesn't want, can choose to end the pregnancy on her own. Seems like a double standard to me: don't you dare kill my baby, but by God I will if I want to!
Most of Europe has set abortion limits well under 20 weeks. In many cases it is about 12 weeks. I'm all for women having an ability to choose their reproductive future, but it needs to be done LONG before there is a chance of the fetus having any pain, feeling, or ability to know what is happening. 12 weeks is 3 months. If you can't figure out what you want in that time you aren't taking it seriously enough.

Also, I do support abortion centers having minimum standards. In many states even dentists need to have wider hallways. Even some orthodontists need admitting privileges at hospitals. Don't tell me an abortion is less invasive than that.
