Lunch!

Happened to see a sign advertising KC's Best Burger, as seen on the Food Network:

Just ordered one for lunch...

Had a great morning and looking forward to an equally fun afternoon.

TTFN!

2013 - The Best Of Kansas City edition is due out in October, but past winners are an excellent choice, as well. http://www.pitch.com/kansascity/BestOf?oid=3028766
Nica's is pretty rad. haven't been there since they changed the menu but it looks just as good. And they have awesome coffee. Huge turn off for me...a restaurant that has shit coffee.

I've lived in KC for my entire life, I've never heard of the Westport restaurant. I guess I should get over to MO more.

Been there a couple times now and to be honest I was not impressed either time.

Now if you want a real hamburger then you want a Wolfburger...

I remember way back when Bob Berdella had a booth in the flea market. Back in 1988, when KC hosted the tournament, he had four skulls in his window and a sign that said "The real Final Four."
Smash Burger gets my vote!!!

Yes!! Love me those Flea market burgers! Grandstand burgers come pretty close, though!

Five Guys is a hell of a lot better then Trashburger, aka smashburger.
I tried them a week after they opened in Olathe and never went back.
but now we have Freddie's...
119th and Blackbob... northeast side behind NTB
Well, my Flea Market Burger (medium rare w/ blue cheese crumbles) was great - especially w/ a glass of red wine! I wasn't around for breakfast, but I will keep the suggestions in mind for future visits to KC. Had a lot of fun this time around!

Smooches!!!

They had better service and food imho... plus all the bullet holes gave the place a special ambiance.

....damn I miss their burrito salads.
