My how times have changed!

I caught part of a showing of "American Graffiti" yesterday and while I only saw a few minutes of it, they mentioned that Susan Sommers, the "Prostitute" in the old white '55 T- bird, charged $30 an hour.

I never recalled them saying that before but maybe because it was usually on regular TV?
Also, I don't recall if they refer to her as a "Call girl" or "Prostitute"? I think Pro...

I just thought it was funny, the $30 per hour comment...

Oh and one more thing... Susan Sommers is 67 but shoot, I'd give $30 without question to spend an hour with her!!

On the other hand, you probably could have bought the 55 T-bird new for $2500 to $3000. You would probably be $25,000 to $30,000 today for similar type car.

I will agree with on the Susan Sommers comment.

Have you ever caught the donation in "Pretty Woman"? He asks for her to spend the night and she replies "You can't afford me". And then he offers $300 and she quickly accepts his offer. Here is a guy who rents out the penthouse suite and she says he cannot afford her...and then accepts $300 for the donation for the entire night!
