Is there a decoder ring to understand rates? If so, can someone send to me..
I see things like $.25 and $$ and $.50

i could guess what they mean, but would like some clarification..

Each dollar sign represents one hundred dollars. $=$100. $$=$200 $.50=$150 etc

It is a silly code that some of us have been discouraging for years. Not only does it not have any positive benefit, but there is the possibility of confusion if an amount is a fraction of $100. If the session was $.75 is that $175 or $75?

If everyone would drop the code, the whole board would be clearer for everyone.

If you just paid a single dollar ($1.00) it would still qualify as prostitution. Maybe if you took Canadian currency???

Questor is correct, it is a silly, unnecessary code that those who have joined this sub-culture the last few years continue to use because they completely believe the local constables don't know the code and thus they will remain safe.

Some people have made the same point that scorpio31 did, that the code is in place to hide from police. If that is truly the case, then I am doubly against it. Any "code" meant to fool the police or evade prosecution is bound to fail unless it is hidden from the general members.

Offering "roses" or "diamonds" or even "kisses" is just as stupid.

I have often wondered what would happen if I showed up with a couple hundred "Roses".
