Hotel heads up...

The Jewery (it rhymes) on Wurzbach apparently won't let you in without knowing your guests personal. I suggest your date meet you outside and walk you in. I just had to ditch a date because i wasnt prepared and didn't want to risk both of our safety.

Must be new.

Never had that problem there.

I have heard of some other hotels doing this now.

Oh let's see... Who must be complaining? Staff for not getting tips... Hotel for not getting extra guests rates... Cops... , spouses... (Who might make a scene)... Your being photographed and weeded out.

More than a few properties will challenge/query folks they don't immediately recognize depending on the hour of day or night, most likely.

Not an issue if there's an additional outside door away from the lobby.

And not an issue if the rooms are accessible from the parking lot which might have other visibility issues.

That particular hotel property has never been an issue for me in daytime. Of course, I walk in like I own the place, carrying my usual briefcase or other "business-like accessory" and since I know where the elevators are, I head straight there.

I am usually not at that property at night, but I have entered other hotels up to say 9 pm both downtown and inside Loop 1604 w/o any issues.

That must be something new that they are doing. Tracy keep safe out there.
It has to be something new because I had visited a guest there a few months ago and the lobby was wide open. Now the door is locked and you have to check in? Oi vey....

Be safe everyone!

It was bound to happen at that place. I saw a Dallas girl there once. For some reason she wanted to meet down in the lobby before we went up to her room. My jaw dropped when I saw her and not in a good way. She was there in 10 inch clear heeled hooker shoes, the shortest denim cutoff shorts, full makeup, tiny tank top shirt. It was very clear to anyone with half a brain what was going on. Guess she never heard of "not attracting attention"
Woooooow. I always dress down. Last thing i want happening is getting caught up. :/

Well with cameras the size of pinheads now a available. I would imagine that any young lady checking into a hotel is suspect. Especially if her cards show to be used at multiple hotel locations around the country. And then seeing a parade of men going to same floor she's on.
