Some months ago, I got a bike, and wrote a thread in the Oklahoma Forums, about my adventures on the darn thing.
Since moving to Midland, its just been too darn hot to ride, but this evening is NICE!
So I got it out and headed over to the collage. I rode about a quarter of the circle and got winded. Its easy to become slothfull when its hot.
There is a pretty stiff wind blowing tonight and as I wasn't sailing, and there was traffic, I couldn't tack, so I turned around and headed back home. Taking the next light, not the one I entered on, I got across the road and as I was thinking about "what a nice evening, and 'the girl I left behind me'", I got up on the sidewalk at speed, and promply dumped my butt off the bike, and onto my back, ass over appatite, bike on top!
There were many witnesses, and one fellow asked if" I was alright?"
As was laughing at myself for such a rookie thing, I said yes, and that I should remember just how old a kid I am.
I got the bike back in working order and rode until I got to the right (wrong) alley. I rode through the alleys, seeing the seamier side of Midland, was chased but a dog, and got barked at my lots more. I was lostern' hell!
Finally I got back on a street and after asking directions I am home, with a beer on the way, barked chins and palms. and a bump on the head.
I can hardly wait for tommarrow to see whats in store for me nw. I may go to the mall.
