Stood up in Killeen on Sunday- a little help?
My scheduled date for tonight is a no-show... Any takers?
Well poop!!! Hate it when that happens to either party... makes us girls look bad & you guys just as bad!! Good luck finding your lady!!
No worries- I should have planned a backup, but I hate to cancel on people. Makes me feel like a jerk.
Sexy man, you should have called for Merci!
Seriously, this happens, and happens way more often than we hear about. Real life gets in the way sometimes and all we can hope for is the other party is OK and no damage is done.
I have had gents not show up, or not answer their phone when I arrived, even though we had been in contact less than 5 minutes earlier.
I missed an appointment once, due to my GPS (you know which kind, lol) Sending me to the entirely wrong place (one reason it is important for us ladies and gents to give hotel names and addresses and hotel phone numbers... lol).
It is embarrassing and frustrating all around.
Hope your friend is ok and hope you not too discouraged. It happens to us all, at some point.
Kisses,
Merci
Thanks for the perspective, Merci. I talked to her today, and we're cool. It was just one of those situations where no one could have predicted a delay. She was literally minutes away, and life just got in the way for her. It's happened to all of us. I'm not upset about it, or discouraged. If anything, I'm impressed that she made an effort to contact me today and make her apologies. I do appreciate your offer, though. You're a lovely lady.
Glad to hear all is well, JimFightsFire.
Real life does get in the way. I book with a visiting lady (will not name names) and we were in contact and good to go up until just a few minutes before the appointment. I hung around that parking lot for about an hour. Long story short, on her way to the incall from the grocery store (Less than a mile), she was in an accident (not her fault) and the car was towed.
I missed meeting her, she missed her appointment with me and others, and it cost her quite a bit to get back home (150 miles away). I was only out some time and a little gas, she was out hundreds of dollars.
I was thankful she called me back when she could and apologized. I would see her again. As you said, "Life gets in the way".
As the beautiful Merci said it "happens way more often than we hear about". And that reminds me, I need to beg for Merci before she leaves town.....
Respectfully,
OldSarge
Yeah, no harm- no foul. Anticipation breeds excitement. Thanks for the perspective on this situation; I'll be attempting to re-book at my earliest opportunity.
