Open Invitation

I invite you all to signup on my site 4thelulz.org. It's still a little green around the gills, but I have a lot features planned for it.

If you look at it, you'll notice the commenting system works differently than here: they are threaded rather than listed down the page. IMO, this makes it easier to see what is replying to what.

The site has two discussion feeds. The one on the left shows everything anyone posts. Those posts can be voted on and, using a combination of mathematics and unicorn magic, a determination is made if the post should go to the middle feed, where it has more prominence.

It's usable right now, but I have some neat things planned for it: "communities" where you can make discussions private to a certain set of people, blacklists where you can ignore a list of users completely, and private messaging, of course.

One note: The site isn't exactly mobile friendly at the moment!

I'm very open to suggestions and quick about fixing bugs. Also, the site is in NO WAY MODERATED. Anything goes there with the exception of posting personal info about someone without their permission. That will get your stuff deleted and you kicked off. Also, anything that intentionally breaks the site will cause you to be smited.

THANK YOU AND NOW BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING

So, what's the point or purpose of the site man? Not trying to be a dick, just to add to the discussion.
The purpose is libertarian. The purpose is precisely not to have a purpose. If someone wants a private group to talk about heavy metal music, they'll be able to do that. If someone wants to use it as a diary to share with the world, they can do that. If someone wants to post political rants, they can do that. If someone wants to use it for humor, they can do that. If someone wants to create a private group to talk about hookers, they can do that.

With the tagging system (once I fix it anyway), you can filter out crap you don't want to see and make the content focused on things you're interested in.

My personal purpose is just to give myself something to do instead of paying for hookers and use as a showcase for employment.
Thanks to your merciless troll (dissing disco), I fixed a bug!!

There was another bug I introduced last night. If you visited the site and tried to look around without being logged-in, you probably got nothing but an error page. That has been fixed.

You should be able to view anything whether you have an account or not. Though I encourage everyone to sign up and contribute. Especially the girls. If you start posting there, everyone else will
ill post there for sure..Thanks babe

I have partially implemented communities on 4thelulz. There are two communities set up at the moment: Public--this is the default public community that all discussions are targeted to by default. Then there is an ECCIE community that I made. I assigned all known eccie users who have signed up to that community.

All eccie users will therefore be able to post discussions that will be visible to only those other users in the ECCIE community.

Over the next few days, I'll put in the front end management so you can create and manage your own communities. If you sign up to the site and want to belong to the "ECCIE" community, send me a pm here with your username on 4thelulz and i'll add you.

Also, if you wish to create a community before the UI is implemented, send me a pm with the community name, 4thelulz user name creating it and 4thelulz usernames to add to it and i will do it for you manually.
