October Social

I know San Antonio has their Spooktacular Halloween Mixer so I was wondering if South Texas was interested in something of the sort. We can call it STX cOcktoberfest or something similar....just throwing it out there. Everyone give their thoughts.

I was planning to go the San Antonio one, but if there will be one done in south Texas, I'll go to that one too.

I am intersted we haven't had one in awhile.

Sounds like a great idea. I know some ladies that would like to visit Corpus to meet some new people.

Elgato and I have tried to put a few together in the past, and have not had enough interest from the ladies to make it worth our time. The last one we did we had about half the confirmed turnout and were left holding the bag with expenses due to this. Socials are great fun, but it's hard in south Texas to get one going.

True you should always expect half of the people to flake. I would say start w a small event. Maybe just in a large hotel room suite or the sort. Anyone have connections? Make it interesting w door prizes for providers. Every guy brings a door prize. Just some thoughts.

It does sound like fun, but maybe it could be more cocktail party / short playtimes...Perhaps stARTING AROUND noon and ending around 9 or 10..
some girls including myself have certain hours we can play. Keep it simple and clASSY. JUST A THOUGHT .. I WOULD like to attend but have play hours of (am til 6pm...I have 3 girls including myself that can attend but has to start early.

McAllen may be a good place for one. We could shake the tree.
