Another porn actor turns up HIV positive. Why do we need pro porn anyway? I have some video taken with providers that turns me on more than that crap. lol.

Most of the transmission is male to female. Because gay porn pays male performers more many of the performers in straight porn moonlight in the gay industry. In straight porn most males will make between $300 and $500 a scene, while the lady's make between $500 and $1500 a scene. In the gay porn industry the males make on par with the lady's. In the late 80's through 1995 I was involved in Porn production and I introduced several ladys from KC to the business you may remember Krista who was very popular made over 100 files and Mindori who hailed from KCKS and was Jodi Watley the singers sister. She still occasionally performs in films.

Wow DD! Didn't realize that you've been in porn production. I'm sure you've got some great stories!

But on this HIV scare...I know the industry used to have AIM, a clinic ran by Sharon Mitchell and sponsored by the industry who used to test the performers at pre-set intervals to check for STDs, but it was put out of business for, I believe, shoddy testing and unacceptable procedures. Is there any testing at all anymore? Do performers have to have paperwork stating that they're free and clear of all STDs and HIV before they can work?

There is a new company doing the testing and the requirements are the same as they always have been. There is a lot of falsifing of records unfortunately, when your talking about someones livelyhood the incentive to cheet sometimes out weighs the use of common sense and safety.
