Can't beat Plaza, great upscale hotels restaurants and shopping spots! Close to nightlife clubs and downtown in the "power and light" district! Kansas City is the City of Foubtains! I'm sure you will be bubbling over with fun, appointments and great BbQ places! Have fun!
You should pm her specific locations no need to hang a flashing neon sign for certain parties to follow.

Might want to try Chicago or Dallas....you could blend in better there...

If you have any further concerns, feel free to contact Grizzly...he has your safety in mind and has this whole industry figured out.....
The Plaza is a prime place for nice hotels, attractions, shopping and dining. The Westport area caters to a slightly older crowd but I love staying there. Also, check Groupons for discounts on hotels in that area. I stayed in a beautiful hotel for $89.00 versus $139.99 with a Groupon. Pm me for some recommendations.

Good luck! Let us know if you need anything else girlie.

There are cultural activities in KC as well. One of my sincere regrets is not going to the Nelson Atkins Museum while there a couple of times in the Spring.

I have found the Plaza hotels to be very expensive, especially if a special event is going on in town.

However, the area is charming. The people are, too.

Good luck,
Elisabeth

Personally, the Steamboat Arabia Museum is my absolute favorite exhibit in KCMO.
