Former "Lion" Passed

Often described "Lion of the Senate," former Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens died in a plane crash. Politics be damned, the man did a lot for his constituents in Alaska and he fought tooth and nail to do so. I would be happy for Missouri and Kansas to have Senators and Representatives that worked as hard for us. Please be respectful as this is not the time to bicker about his politics.

Actually, in 1978 he survived a plane crash at an Anchorage airfield, but his first wife died in that crash. If that darned ethics investigation hadn't booted him out of office....

RIP Mr Senator, life is fleeting and by the time we catch a glimpse of it, it's over.
