This may be nothing, but I didn't have time to schedule with a provider so I went by Royal Massage in Lenexa because they are pretty reliable. When I got there and entered the parking lot, there was a cop parked out front of the shop next to them. Soon as I saw that I just kept on driving.
It could be nothing, there are other businesses in that shopping center, but I thought it was worth pointing out.

Probably nothing right now, but you guys going to these amps in KC are really pressing your luck.
Same thing happened to me in Topeka one day quite a few months ago. I was all ready to get there and go into the massage parlor and as I pulled into the parking lot, they share the lot with many other businesses, there were 3 or 4 cop cars in front of the place. Freaked me the hell out. Needless to say I didn't stop by. Come to find out later that the place next to them had a raid for some illegal things not sex related. Made me feel a bit better....

not too give any more credit than is due, but i'm pretty sure le knows what's happening behind closed doors. its the burden of proof...

We had amps in KC before, and not too long ago, they had a massive sting where most of the owners were arrested for "illegal activity" along with human trafficking. Most, if not all the amps were located in JoCo. You seriously think Larry may of gotten alittle smarter on their tactics, let alone having their eyes on these places since the day they reopened?
The amp mentioned here is literally right across the street from the police station. We also know Larry doesn't exactly play clean when it comes to getting people (or coercing them) that are in the hobby. I use to frequent them before the big sting, but know (as many others do) to stay clear of them now. It's a high risk poker game you are playing, especially for you married guys.
Isn't that place next to the donut shop!!!
Go figure donut shop and a cop car in the parking lot.

One of LE's favorite tactics is to tell you that if you rollover on the establishment they will probably take a plea deal and you won't have to testify in court. They will then tell you that if you don't rollover you will end up testifying in court and even if you say nothing happened your name will still be associated with a prostitution case. They will go on to tell you that if don't happen to be home when they call they will leave a message and even though they won't mention what the call is about they can say give Sgt. Joe from KC Vice as call.....what would your wife say?? Pressure, pressure, pressure.
This tactic is usually reserved for agencies and amp/massage parlors.
How do I know this you ask.....Been there, done that. When I was in Dallas they busted an agency I had used several times. They got one of the girls to roll over on the agency....they busted her for the third time and offered her a deal. They knew about me because I was stupid enough to use my credit card (NEVER EVER use a credit card).....they dug receipts out of the trash outside of the agency's office. They thought 3 people were involved which meant that under the Rico (?) act they could charge the agency owners with felonies. They told me the girl was ready to testify that I had used their service for more than just a massage (not me!!!). They went through what I outlined above. There was one problem......I'm single so I could care less what kind of phone message they left and I wasn't concerned about testifying....my word against hers...! Fortunately the agency took a plea deal so I never had to testify. My advice if you get caught up in something.......DO NOT SAY A WORD and CALL A LAWYER!!! I was in a unique situation. Also....do not think you can out smart LE. Remember, they do this for a living. The minute you think you can BS your way out of something you are caught! Say nothing!!!
One last bit of advice....like a couple of you mentioned above.....if something....anything makes you uncomfortable about a situation, LEAVE! I would rather find out later that it was a false alarm then to get mixed up in something because I let the little head make my decisions!!
Just the thoughts of a lost and rambling soul........
Maybe he was getting a handy.

Same advice if you visit a strange provider in a motel room. If she is decently dressed and is surrounded by sexual paraphanelia look for an exit! XXX movies, condoms openly displayed, toys, panties, other things means you were just looking for a plain, ole fashioned platonic massage with no frills. Otherwise, leave immediately without saying a word.

Your point is well taken JD, but we aren't talking about one provider in a motel room. These are your typical brick and mortar businesses that a guy visits, places that were shut down and arrests made about 5 years ago. Who knows what, if any deals had been made between Larry and the amps to allow them to reopen in such a short time. Food for thought.
Most guys want to steer clear of Larry in this hobby, but then turn around and throw caution to the wind by pulling up in their cars to visit an amp. And you are not outsmarting the cops by parking by the general area and walking to the place, especially if it's under surveillance. Talk about spidey senses, why put yourself on Larrys radar in the first place. And then you have the moral issue of human trafficking that should make any guy pause and think about if he has a conscience.
These places may never get shut down again, but the high probability is there, and with that comes the huge risk of a guy getting caught up in this mess and/or the hassle expressed by another poster. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, hell, I love amps myself, but their history in KC is not favorable to a hobbyist.
I agree most of the women I have seen do this of their own free will. Most like it and have no desire to leave it. Human trafficking is one of the most despicable crimes there is and let's face it, it is just another word for slavery.
Lenexa has their own specific city ordinance that forbades any type of what could be considered Adult entertainment..ie Dancing, modeling, etc..
Whoever set up this AMP apparantly didn't do due research..but moreover I don't get why anyone with any experience with AMPs would visit one ESPECIALLY in the city of Lenexa..
PT Barnum was right....LOL
