Gas card/gift cars?

Hey ladies would you take gift cards or gas card as donation? Or is that cheap to even ask? I won a $250 gas card as a safety prize at work and I could think of a few things I'd like to trade it for other than unleaded. Opinions?? Past experiences? Thank all

Me personally, I do prefer cash, however there has been a time or two that I have accepted a Visa Gift card.

I have never been asked about a gas card. Maybe I would accept that as long as I could verify the balance on the card.

I believe every provider would prefer cash. But in the long run if you have groceries to buy, or gas to get, or really anything that you KNOW you will be spending money on, gift cards are equivalent ONLY from trusted sources. I have taken gift cards occasionally from regulars, and one that wasnt a reg, (only cus he had a solid reputation). So I would suggest you just reach out to a provider that you are interested in (or several) and ask

I think most of the major gift cards are verifiable by phone or internet. A few years ago I was a supervisor at a 24hr drug store. A little naive at the time, I didn't realize exactly what was going on when a guy would walk in at night with a hot girl and buy a Green Dot Visa for a couple hundred dollars. Those girls verified the cards by watching them being bought, but that kind of ruins the whole idea of being discrete.

Why would they have to do that boo? I mean the whole thought behind the reload is she can download right ?? (hope that made sense lol XXOO ANNIE

I don't know why he wouldn't just give her the cash in the first place if she's right there anyway. Plus he's paying the extra $5 for the card. Those are usually good for deposits if a girl does that, but why get a card then and there? Although, she won't have to be worried about having the cash on her if she's robbed or busted. This way she can verify that he actually paid the money and it's on the card. Otherwise he could give her the number for a card that's been used or an amount that is less than what was agreed upon. Unless she logs on and gets the money immediately she could get ripped off.

PD- He's not giving her the cash because he doesn't have it. Using his CC to buy it.
