Dealing with a client that doesn't have a cell phone

It's important that a client has a hobby cell phone. What if he has to cancel a date and doesn't have a cell phone?

Giving out a home phone number that an S/O answers is a very bad idea.

What if he's running late? If he's running late, I have no way of knowing...because he doesn't have a hobby cell phone.

Unless a guy is doing outcall to his hotel (where you could at least confirm he's there).........I see no reason why a guy would book without access to a phone. At the very least he could buy a calling card and call u for free from any phone....free.

this game was more fun before pagers & cells and the web.

Just another sign of generational difference. When I started hobbying, cell phones were few and far between and Al Gore only had a prototype of today's internet. Back in the day, there was pretty much no such thing as a girl having an incall. It was politely called a brothel or house of ill-repute. If you wanted the higher caliber girl, you called an agency and rolled the dice. In these cases, you were in a hotel room or calling from your residence. I remember many a time calling an agency from my home to order my late evening fun.

Sure, cell phones are cheap and universal but one can still hobby effectively without one. If a guy is intent on doing an outcall, there are options if he is running late.
When a gentleman tells me he doesn't have a cell phone, I suspect he's lieing. I'm not saying he is for sure. My thoughts are: If he can afford to pay me, why can't he afford a phone? I use the 2 call system. I don't accept phone calls from different numbers for the same person, blocked, restricted, etc. Not having a phone makes it impossible for me to be sure who is contacting me...it's a safety thing.

If he says that he doesnt have a cell phone and only has a home I would think one of two things. Either 1 he is a cop or 2 he doesnt want you to know how to call him

If you allow yourself to look at it objectively, men have to spend more money on the hobby than we did before. Buying credibility (subscribing here, p411, ter, or any number of local boards), the initial cost of a burner (which is actually least of the expense I will grant you that), believe it or not with the economy the way it is, men need to make these decisions. I know I have.

Oh geez. Back when I started this (before we had burners) I had to call a lady from the house, then call from a pay phone (you might be to young to remember those) when I got close.

My question to this is; what if i had a plausible reason for calling from two numbers, such as the cell service sucked at my house but not in town?

As I said your position on how you handle your business is, well, your business, I just think it is kind of a narrow business model.

I ask this question because I have been hearing more and more of guys trying to call and pretend to be a reputable member to try and get an appointment set. More than one number trying to setup just sounds wrong. Oh and if your cell service is so bad there is this little thing called send a text.

He can email you? My preferred method of contact all the way up to walking through the door is email. Google Voice is an option for him. He doesn't even need to download the app. He can go straight through the browser on his real life cell phone then clear data. If he doesn't have those and you don't feel comfortable...NEXXXTT! Make sure you tell him why and be nice though.

I love it when one generation tries to insist that another generation must conform to it's preferred way of communicating. No, youngsters, god did not create cell phones on day 1, and complex, effective, (and polite) communication occurred for thousands of years before the cell phone.

I do almost all coms with a woman via e-mail. It has worked very well, thank you. I do have a cell, but if she said I HAD to have one I would consider that quite rude. I have pleanty of references, both individualsand on P411 and Date Check. That seems more Iimportant than my phone number. I do agree that multiple numbers without a good explaination is suspicious.

I think not having a cell phone is only practical for outcall.

Incall I'm sure would be a major inconvience. And too many unexperienced clients would make a risk.

1. The two call system allows her to be ready and watch as you arrive to her incall. With no phone your totally hidden. Maybe even posted up at her hotel waiting to see which door she emerges from.

2. I'm sure there would be an instances where a lady is running late.....and she needs you to wait.....but oh shit....u have no phone. Now your upset, you go to front desk or start walking around until you see her maybe.......

3. You know most won't have access to a pay phone....so where will he go...the hotel lobby desk. He calls you like a dumbass in front of staff to ask you for the room number.......discretion is gone.

4. Maybe because he doesn't have a phone you choose to meet him in parking lot.....or hotel lobby. Now ur visible.
