Need Some Suggestions

I'm planning a trip to Shreveport, but have never been and need some ideas on the best places/areas to stay. It would also be helpful to know of some good places to have a nice "homestyle" Cajun meal. I look forward to visiting and hope to get some good suggestions. Thanks!

Stay away from Monkhouse, too much drama, and real clients are gonna come down Monkhouse at all. As for the food, Herby Ks has to be one of our best. If you like Mexican Superior is a great place, party atmosphere and great food and the best margaritas. Hope to see you soon
There are soooo many places to eat , sooo many things to do !! From gambling - to a nice walk on the board walk !!
Choppahump gave good advice.
Not only does Monkhouse Drive have a bad rep, but LE has been very active there lately.
The Superior Grill, on Line Ave south of Pierremont, is my favorite restaurant in the entire area.
