SPAM

I have a email address that i use only on this board,i have noticed the last couple of weeks i have been getting a bunch of adult spam emails,as i stated i only use this email account on eccie.Has anyone else experienced this ?

Hell yeah, getting all kinds of it. Whats spooky is they have more info than I want them to have. Did a emailfinder but they want money to tell me who it is.
Even marking them with spam is not working they keep changing the addy.

Everyday in my email box I get billions of $'s worth of spam.

It is entirely likely that of the many folks you have trusted with your email addy, at least one or two have suffered the dreaded "email address book hijacking" in which all of the addresses in their book have been stolen. Possibly shared with low-life spammers.

It's easy enough to suffer. The victim simply opens an email that has the hijacking virus and BAM!

You can tighten up the controls in your spam filters and perhaps this will dump most if not all of the spam properly. But the tightening may also divert some real emails as well.

Most email filters allow you to set your spam filter to "accept mail only from people in my contact list" which may help as a first step.
