Affordable Dentist?

Since this isn't hobby related (unless one of you lucky guys are a dentist) I posted this in the Sandbox.

I need a dentist ASAP! My tooth in the bottom right side chipped over 2 years ago and has been giving me pain on and off. Usually only when I drink something cold or chew on that side of my mouth. Now it's hurting constantly and it's keeping me up at night. I've been taking Advil but the pain comes back before it's time for another dose. I don't want to overdose on that stuff or end up in the ER with stomach bleeding (graphic, I know).

So I need it pulled or fix SOON! Some local dentists I've called quoted over $300. No, I don't have insurance so I have to pay cash. And the full payment is due at the time I show up.

I ask you, anyone know of an affordable dentist that won't have me more messed up than I already am?
$300 dollars to pull it that dentists is trying to pull one over on you. I don't know any local dentist in the little rock area but I had one pulled in the Dallas area for $50 and had another one pulled in Mexico for $25 and they got the best pain pills money can buy. Both were wisdom teeth also.

I'm not looking for a Mexican dentist...I can go to my old neighborhood for that.

I need a legit, licensed dentist that doesn't work out the back of a van. $300 would be fine if they took payments, but without insurance it's hard to find one.

Sort of sucks, because I went on a date with a dentist and he was going to fix my tooth but the fucker ditched me for a blonde
I use Christi Shepard in WLR. Female, reliable, and you might be able to set up payments.

FYI as a side note, my professional organization gives away drug discount cards for folks who do not have drug insurance. Discounts vary, but 40% is not unheard of. My organization does not know who registers the cards. If you're interested, PM me.

There used to be a clinic in Benton on South street that offered free or low-cost services based on income level, with a sliding scale. They had dentists, too. Local professionals volunteered their services. I think they met once or twice a month? You'd have to check.

Summit dental in hot springs. They will do your first visit with x ray for around 65 dollars. Then it's anywhere from 100-160 to have it pulled.

I have an appointment in the morning. X-ray, exam...all that jazz. I fear it may be a root canal

If that's the case then I may have to either raise my prices for a week or run a ton of discounts to attract the "window shoppers". Sad I know, but $1000 with bills still left to pay is a lot of money.

If you get the root canal, be prepared to follow up soon with a crown or it will just eventually rot away anyway. Or an implant, which can cost more but once you do it, you're done. Ask them to compare what the difference is between just pulling it now and getting an implant vs root canal/crown.

You're gonna feel a lot better once you get that infection out of your mouth. A bad tooth can cause all kinds of health problems until taken care of.

Just because you go all the way to implants, it does not necessarily mean that your dental work is complete. I have seen friends that experience bone growth up and over the 'studs' that are implanted in their jaw bone. This is incredibly painful and expense to fix...
