Love to hear from men and women. Seen other posts about many different opinions – if you should tip, when, how, etc. Specifically interested in hearing:
1. Should you tip? I believe you should tip for excellent service. Some have said they charge the rate they want so you don’t need to tip – I don’t agree with that but maybe I’m off on this.
2. How much should you tip? I tip 20% when eating out for good service, 25-30% for truly excellent service. What are others doing?
3. When should you tip? Beginning or end of the session – lay it out near your donation, on her nightstand, or give it during the next session? I’ve seen all 3 listed but hard to tell how much beforehand, feel like a goof digging for it after, and afraid she’ll feel slighted and not appreciated if I wait until the next time.
Bonus question – what’s an appropriate amount to give a provider you see regularly for her birthday or a holiday such as Christmas? My ATF has a birthday in January and Christmas is coming soon so I want to make sure I’m showing sincere appreciation and have no idea of what would be considered appropriate.
I learned a lot from the post by Jules about flowers and think this could be a similar thread to ensure we know the way it is and the way it should be.
