Ever wished you could find some user reviews of local escorts, just to make sure you don't end up with a dud on date night?

We're guessing not, but if you were, you'd be in luck.
Texas-based website Eccie.net allows users to rate and review local sex workers.

According to Jezebel, Eccie.net is not the first site of its kind, but Eccie.net's homepage boasts that the company is "the fastest growing escort review website online."

This growth might be curtailed, however, if Texas state senator Leticia Van De Putte gets her way. Van De Putte is currently pushing a bill through the senate that would "aid in slowly shutting down escort review websites that undoubtedly result in prostitution."

CBS DFW reporter Mireya Villarreal spoke to the Texas Attorney General’s office, who confirmed that the website was under investigation for links to illegal activity. Social worker Jenny Ford told Villarreal that she was particularly concerned about human trafficking, which she said is "happening everywhere. I mean, you can call and get somebody delivered to your house, to your apartment, or to a hotel,” Ford told CBS DFW.

I don't think it'll ever pass, btw...the ACLU and many other free speech groups won't let it. Worst case scenario, it could go totally subscription based and I can't imagine anyone being able to stop that.

There must be some really bored lawmakers. USAsexguide has survived all this by putting their servers in Montreal. Where are ECCIE's servers? Im sure theyve thought about this.
I don't know for certain but I believe the servers are in Canada where prostitution is legal. I have no idea what legal implications there are. Remember that the Mann act exists where one can be prosecuted for transporting ladies across state lines. One last thing to remember is the fact that in a court of law or a legislature our hobby is frowned upon. There are no real legal protections. The sex police are everywhere! Look at Elliot Spitzer. He was prosecuting sex workers while hobbying at the same time. I do believe he was elected to some public office recently. Privately, people don't care and would prefer the government stay out. Publicly sex crimes are fair game for anyone with an agenda. For politicians, it is just too hard to handle real problems.
