777 Closed???

Went by the 777 yesterday at 12 noon and the door was locked??? Anyone get in there yesterday? I went across the street to the Tropical Spa, the OPEN sign was off and parking lot empty, didn't try the door.

Well, as for Tropical Spa - they started opening at around 1:00 PM months ago. But they could be closed too. As for 777 - I am afraid there is a good chance they were closed down. I tried calling a few minutes ago and didn't even get an answering machine at noon on a Wednesday. I would wager the local law enforcement made a sweep through the neighborhood. It was inevitable. No good thing lasts forever. There are/were 3 AMPs on that same street within 5 minutes of each other. I'll bet the got all of them in a single night. That will suck especially if 777 is gone. That place was legendary.

It appears to be a sad day for south MS AMP connosseurs as our beloved 777 is indeed closed (as of a few minutes ago). I also checked the Tropical and VIP spas, which are on Washington Ave too and they are also closed. There were no signs on any of the doors, but I assume that means they were shut down involuntarily I fear they may have just become too popular for the liking of businesses nearby, since two other cars drove up and checked the locked 777 door before I could get out of the parking lot.

I definitely think 777 and VIP are closed for good. FYI tropical is still open as of 7pm tonight.

I am hoping and praying it's just some type of Korean holiday. LOL.

That just sucks ass... I was looking forward to dropping in again on my way to and from Florida over XMas...

OUCH! LE really knows how to hurt a guy. Why not go after drug dealers? The spas aren't hurting anyone.

Sad Bad News think I'll have a drink and raise a toast to a lengendary haunt

I am local, and have been checking out local news sites and there is not a peep about this. Business owner friend close by says he hasn't seen any LE activity at all in the last few days. Indeed a sad day though if this legend has fallen!

Long term Jackson county sheriff, Mike Byrd, is expected to plead guilty to a Federal felony charge on 12/10 and then resign. There may be an interim sheriff now that is not as tolerant to AMPs.

Byrd hasn't done the honorable thing and resigned as he should have. He's still sheriff until he officially pleads guilty on Dec 10th.

I just went by 777 and doors were locked. Any other good AMP on the coast. I'm only in town tonight
