Anybody know how long that sobriety center has been open downtown?

It's an option for folks that don't have a record and r willing to go I counseling instead of the old DWI route. It's modeled after a similar deal in Seattle. It's suppose to save taxpayers $$$ in the long run.

I agree....I'm not bitching or knocking it...just thinking back to the first part of those 40 years there were no laws against it IIRC. I remember my parents mixing drinks in the front seat while we traveled and arriving drunk.

I don't think half of you have read what it is. It is literally a place to sober up if you get arrested for being drunk and stupid somewhere. I am hoping they have something setup for repeat drunk and stupid offenders. There are only so many smack on the hands you can get. Right, Essence?
