Block all messages??

(I thought there was..)
Is there a way to turn OFF all PM's so NO ONE can PM you?


Also is there a way to say turn off ALL PM's from a specific Area/forum?

Go to your Control Panel

On the left side, you will find a link called Edit Options. Click it.

In the Messaging & Notification section, you will find a Private Messaging sub-section.

In that section, you will find a selection box to Enable Private Messenging. Make sure that box is UNCHECKED.

There is no regional PM selection, so it's an all or nothing system.

You may go to your showcase and edit out those cities you are not currently visiting. It will remove you from that metropolitan area's showcase browsing selection.

Out of curiosity JJ, once engaged per your instructions above will Candi be able to send PM's as one way communications? Or will the system shut down both ways? (incoming and outgoing)

This will turn off all private messaging options for that member.

You will receive the message below if you attempt to send a message.

You have turned off private messages. You may not send private messages until you turn them on by editing your options.

I'll leave my options turned off for the next few hours (I'm about to hit the road again). Try to see if you can send me a few messages.

Let me know and post if you receive a message, letting you know my PM system is turned off.

Just tried to test it and there was simply no option on to PM you so total shut down.
