When guys are on a site like Backpage the first thing they're looking at is the pics, and the first thing they're trying to figure out is if you're legit.
One of the things that helps is seeing some local flavor. If you're wearing some Royals/Chiefs/KU/K State/Mizzou/Shockers it helps. If you're wearing a community college or old high school t-shirt it takes a little more Googling, but that lets guys know that you're 100% local. You're not just a Chiefs fan that lives in Dallas or something.
Post a pic showing some KC background, too. Hell, even stand at the 12th street and Vine sign.
Worst case scenario just snap a pic outside the old hotel you were at last time. Most KC mongers know the hotels around here pretty well. Just don't do it at the one you're still working out of lol.
If you're a dancer, put on your stripper gear and snap a selfie. Make sure you get your stripper heels in the shot.
Show your tummy.
Working with a friend? Post a pic with your bestie. Guys might not be able to figure out if you're legit, but they've got TWICE the chance to do it if there are two girls.
Why is this important? If guys can't easily figure out if you're legit, they'll pass you over and call somebody else. 'Your' money will go to 'her' because the guy couldn't solve the puzzle.
