Thanks to those who support the Austin community happy hour meet & greets over the years.
Many have asked if we could have lunches, too!
Looks like 2014 offers the opportunity to outgrow the current Austin “happy hours only” meet & greet schedule.
So far, more than 30 or more providers and hobbyists have told me they’re interested in regular lunchtime meet & greets. Many travelers (both males and females) have a high interest, too. Since we average 50 to 60 attendees at HH's, we can expect much the same (but likely different attendees) size attendance at lunches.
So, for the next several months -- lunches, along with the regularly scheduled happy hours.
Please let me know if you are interested in meeting other well vouched providers/hobbyists for lunch on a regular or occasional basis.
I'm also surveying everyone on the active invite list.
First lunch events will be Mondays/Tuesdays running from roughly 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We’ll trial several different venues that can dedicate space to our group.
Like the HH's, no special menu items, and no restrictions on age, so 18 and up can continue to attend. No cover charges or minimums, either.
Tuesday events have worked well in San Antonio which gives folks opportunity to plan for later in the week fun.
