CHL Class

Does anyone know of a gun range the holds concealed gun classes in San Antonio on Mondays or Tuesday morning? Range must be in San Antonio and prefer to have class on one of these days. I have put this off for several years, ready to take the plunge.

As Canyonman said consider one on one.

Texas Thunder on Bandera has an indoor range and plenty of business cards of CHL instructors. Go online to get the requirements and research for a local instructor.

You really want an instructor that has multiple certifications and will testify on your behalf in the instance that you are ever on trial.

Texas Thunder will do the job....but they are very expensive. Try Bass Pro Shops, yes they have an indoor range upstairs. You may use your own ammo at Bass Pro, but Teaxs Thunder makes you buy their ammo at a HIGH price.

ALSO... Google Shooting Ranges
Also try bullet hole on potranco

Most classes are on weekends however some instructors will set up a special class on week days from time to time for those who cannot get away or work weekends.
Call Bexar Community Shooting range, it is just outside of San Antonio and they have several instructors that teach out there.
Lonestar handgun has classes on weekdays. They will take care of the fingerprinting too at the range.

Though be prepared to wait and wait and wait. The state is so backed up it will take a few months before you actually get the CHL. At the rate texas dps is moving, phasers will probably replace handguns. :P

Try "A Place To Shoot" on the south side by the Police Academy. Now that DPS requires electronic fingerprints, the days of getting fingerprinted at the course are over.

Nardis gun club on I-10 is the nicest range in SA IMO. I'm a member although its also open to the public. Instructors all ex military or LE, very nice staff-facilities. Gunsmith, cafe etc on site.
CHL classes during the week, $75. They also offer private training....

+1 for Lonestar! Avoid Texas Thunder at all costs.

Thanks to all the suggestions on the gun ranges. I completed my application online with Lonestar gun range and scheduled a class in the upcoming week. Thanks to all for your valueable input.
