Im trying to get verified i sent the email out yesterday and now today my profile says gaining momentum did i do something wrong ?
What does that mean exactly?

Gaining momentum means you are posting, the more posts then the titles will change. They also change depending on other settings and you may also set a custom title in your user CP.
As for a verified there is no hard and fast timeline, it is a volunteer staff, depends on if you sent everything correctly and if a person vouching for you sent an email. A good way to spend this time is to read the forum guidelines, http://www.eccie.net/announcement.php?f=5
