The Killing : Season 1

Just finished the 13 episode first season in a marathon session.

Damn great show, highly addictive.

I have got to get outside into the warmth and the sun before I get pulled back into Season 2.

But this show is VERY well written and engrossing.
I LOVE the fact that they don't magically stumble across all the evidence in ONE episode like most T.V. series. This is more true to real life were it drags on and on for weeks (months) to actually solve a case.

I also LOVE that they do a SUPER job of misdirection! It could F'n be anybody!!!

I was so afraid in the beginning that they were going for the obvious cliché but......psyche!

Is the second season on?

Frankly, I didn't think it would make it seeing that it seemed to replace Breaking Bad time.
There were only three seasons of that show. An amazing show, but AMC canned it after third season because viewership had dropped. You can see the lead actor (Joel Kinnaman) in the new version of ROBOCOP in theaters now.

OH! Wrong show!

I remember it. Yeah, I got to watching it in the second or third season. Caught it by mere opportunity that it came on after something else I watched.

I watched it, all 3 seasons, but I must say I was really disgusted with how the first season ended (without solving the killing), and how contrived the twist at the end was to keep folks engaged.

Yeah ended up being sucked into another marathon of Season 2 and 3.

I really enjoyed it and am now having a hard time finding anything else as good on Netfix.

I think I reached the end of Netflix.

(No slam on Bones btw. I love that show. Even if they do magically find ALL the evidence in one day)

I'd start a whole side thread except Netflix is dead right now so.... too little to discuss.

Orange/Black is quite good, I will re-watch the last three or four episodes to catch up on the new season when it appears.

I started watching Lillihammer and then slacked off, having lived in Norway... eh.

The Killing is an American adaptation of a Danish series, and I wish Netflix would show it as well.

I highly suggest the Helen Mirren series that is on Netflix and also a series called The Fall.

There is another series with Chloe Severginie where she plays an Irish pre-op M to F transexual hitman/woman. Very good.
Yea Killing season 1 was disappointing but I really enjoyed 2&3. Three was excellent and a couple of really gripping episodes. Looking forward to 4.

Anyone checking out Bates Motel? I'm about 3 episodes in a enjoying. Also Vikings but that is on Amazon.
