Ha. I too feel it is only a Hallmark holiday.
When I got married, I explained to my wife that I felt that I was not going to be held hostage by Hallmark. That I would send flowers and show affection throughout the year, with no regard to the date.
All these years later, that is still in effect. And I send flowers randomly throughout the year, and so on.
