circus

Anybody make it out to the circus? Yet another reason why I'm not likely to be able to hobby anytime soon due to that dent on the non-essential-for-survival expendatures budget. Spoiling our little girl is priority 1 though, and for the price it was well worth it even though they ream you on the moon bounce, pony and elephant rides, and light up toys that one simply must have because everybody else does and they blatantly encourage waving them in the air when they turn out the lights to see how much money they have racked up selling them.
Aside from opening the doors, and then starting a good 45 mins late, and the absolutely terrible sound system at the Freeman (first time going there.. what a delapitated venue in the shadow of the AT&T), it was a good show.
From where I was sitting the 'worlds only professional female Ring-Mistress' was pretty hot.. though with the aforementioned crappy PA she sounded like a cross between Fran Drescher and Kenny from South Park.

Once was enough. I won't go back.

It's for the kids.
Sometimes it is really not up to us to decide that for them.

Unless you introduce them to the argument of the enslavement of animals for our amusement to the kids. THAT is a whole other can of worms

I never thought about it twice a few years ago...then, I started watching the Animal Planet. Two of my favorites are Orangutan Island and Chimp Eden. It's very sad to see what some people do to animals!

Circuses are inhumane. They are one of the worst offenders of animal cruelty. They teach children that it is ok to exploit unwilling parties as long as it for entertainment purposes. This is another reason that I refuse to frequent the rodeo.

Just kidding folks. I'm going to take this out of context because I'm a jackass.
I was there with the fam. It was an ok show. My favorite part was the female contortionist. Yowza! She was hot and flexible!

On that related note, I hooked up with a ex-circus girl in Vegas back when I was young and better looking. Holy Beejesus one of the tightest six packs on a girl. All that swinging and flipping does a body good. Good times.

I'm kinda sorry that I put the thread on the path it went but i'm glad there are those out there that can feel for the animals.
