attachment storage questions

what is the max amount of storage one has for attachments?
i deleted a bunch and am now at 12 attachments using 1.10MB.
when i attempt to attach another image to a post, eccie says "no way, you exceed your limit by xxx bytes."

i cant even attach an image of my current stats!

Cashmere, this is the same issue that you are having. You have a ton of them in your attachment file. Look at the file sizes in there, and delete all the ones over, say 200-250KB. That will open up a lot of room for you.

I use a pic resizer and have deleted many many pics and still cant post new pics..my issue is lifetime cap amount apparently. But deleting old pics is not helping

Perhaps a better solution is to "host" file your photos/etc on a different site and merely embed a link there to be displayed here.

Be careful doing so, as some hosting sites may not have the very best security nor allow certain images.

Always best to establish several "hosts" so you have redundancy and few image limits (content and size).
