Because I don't recognize her name and some zeitgeist fashion, I looked her up. Sounds like she had a lot of Democratic idealisms, She wrote her senior thesis on the ethics of climate change legislation and graduated in 2012 with a philosophy degree.[6]
Afterwards decided she wanted to be involved in politics at an early age but shit the bed repeatedly on that effort, and then started posting derogatory comments about Bernie Sanders on x, etc and then became a fox documentary: Li was featured in a 2020 Fox News documentary titled My Socialism Nightmare.
Li previously served as the Treasurer for the Pennsylvania Young Democrats from 2017 to 2020. She resigned the post after conflict with group leaders over her Twitter posts critical of Bernie Sanders and his supporters. Li had tweeted a 2-min. video of Sanders from 1988 praising the Moscow metro: “#BernieSanders lavishes praise on Communist Russia, preferring the Soviet Union to the American way of life.”[13]
Do you remember who also thought that the Soviet Metro was much better than the US - his initials are Tucker Carlson!!
Sounds like she's a prime mouthpiece for Fox - someone who had some idealism and found out politics is a tough mental contact sport, unlike her cushy upbringing.
So like a lot of people, she went with the flow.
Instead of following her initial drivers like climate change, and the other conscripts that she adhered to in life that were for public good, she went to the dark side of bashing people that did have a passion for those things. (After all she was born into a life of privilege going to private schools and universities of the highest caliber - why shouldn't she ascend to a political throne)
Sounds to me like she lost her personal integrity, passion, and sense of right and wrong - And went to the only side that would still accept her:
Welcome to Fox News
Where all washed up idealists end up. Just ask Larry kudlow ex addict, Pete Hegseth ex-alcoholic (supposedly) rapist and womanizer, Bill O'Reilly, who's not in the Guinness world book for most claims against him for sexual misconduct, hostile work environment etc., because he was beat out by Trump.
The Democrats and the Republicans tribalism has a resulted in most of their fervent supporters acting like it's a cult. This will get worse before it gets better

Why don't you address some of the reasons she cited for leaving the Dim Party, instead of trying to vilify her and failing in your effort?
Your comments are wrong on many counts:
1. Just because she quit the dims doesn't mean she changed her views on climate change or many other issues. As she explained, she doesn't want to remain part of a cult that can't even tolerate criticism of how it stupidly misspent its campaign money.
2. The fact that she once appeared on a FOX documentary exposing the failures of socialism in China does NOT make her a "mouthpiece of Fox news". To the contrary, her bio says she has been a regular contributor on MSNBC. Why do you always try to hijack every thread and turn it into a tirade against FOX? Liberals and Democrats appear on FOX every day. Are they all traitors to you too?
3. You bash her for her "cushy upbringing" and claim she was "born into a life of privilege". That's the exact opposite of the truth. She was born on the Chinese mainland, abandoned by her parents and raised by her grandmother in destitute poverty. If you had watched the video you mentioned - the one called "My Socialism Nightmare" - you would know this.
So that's 3 swings and 3 misses, eye. I could point out more silly untruths and inaccuracies in your post, but I think everyone gets the picture.
This woman is smart, passionate, articulate and accomplished. Democrats ought to listen to her and learn how to accept constructive criticism if they don't want to keep losing elections. Just because she quit the Dims doesn't mean she has joined the Republican Party. However, I suspect the GOP would welcome someone with her obvious talents and fund-raising abilities, if she were to offer them.
Thank you for pointing out her 2020 documentary "My Socialism Nightmare". It's definitely worth watching. She explains what is happening in China and what the lessons are for the US. The video is only 11 minutes long, you can check it out here:
