What happened to Trump being a Ruussian operative?

It seems the worm has turned. Hillary is now praising Trump's foreign policy. What about the pee tape and being a Russian collaborator?

"Clinton continues: “There is beginning to be a better understanding, both by the president and the people around him, as well as by the leaders of our European allies, that there can be common ground amongst us. The kind of dismissiveness of that we saw in the first Trump administration has been replaced by a much more obvious working relationship, to the good of European security, transatlantic security, and hopefully Ukrainian security.”

I wish we could go back to the times of speculating about a pee pee tape.

I think this is the more telling passage.

What does work is libertarianism, or you can call it military noninterventionism, or foreign policy populism, or just call it America First. It’s what the people want, and it’s what they’re currently getting, and even Hillary Clinton has to admit, it’s sort of working.

Trump’s foreign policy appears to be working as intended. But its intention is to tell the world that America can no longer be trusted to keep its promises.

Some good can come from that by getting our allies to accept more responsibility for their own affairs but a lot of harm comes from the loss of trust and the lack of leadership in the western world.

I think that in the long run we’re going to regret this change in our foreign policy.

P.S. Trump was never a russian operative but he is definitely a friend of Putin.

ICE crackdown imperils Afghans who aided U.S. war effort, lawyers say

After Kabul fell to the Taliban in August 2021, President Joe Biden’s administration moved to resettle Afghans who had worked for the U.S. government through the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program, which grants lawful permanent resident status and a pathway to U.S. citizenship. As of April, about 25,000 Afghans had received an SIV, and another 160,000 had pending applications, said Adam Bates, an attorney with the International Refugee Assistance Program who analyzed State Department data.

But the Trump administration is rolling back programs created to assist more than 250,000 Afghans — including the allies who worked for U.S. forces and other refugees who fled after the Taliban takeover. And while administration officials say SIV processing will continue, advocates for Afghans who served with U.S. troops fear the curtailment of programs they depend on, along with Trump’s ambitious deportation plan, jeopardizes those still vying for SIV protection.

That's a good thing actually. It keeps the peace between Russia and America.
