WTF???
I know of no other "provider of quality" who asks this. Never even heard of it much less seem it touted like a must do. Not on any board in any state for any reason.
This is bullshit.
I would never ever ever ask this. And I - unlike the OP - have never been staff edit - remove RL info. IF you want to check if a possible date has screened you - that's on you. Most guys don't. It is common for some ladies to say "Let me know if you're going to use me as a ref." and this more as permission to discuss you - the protected client - with anyone else for any reason. That's fine. But this.....is not the purpose of Ginger's advice. BE DAMNED if I sit here and read this after the BS she's pulled on the little sisters she has so called mentored (he has no refs you see him first /take the chance then - if you don't go to jail - I'll see him. Charge this do this blah blah Bullshit) Mentoring means help not controlling either the service the economics or the consumer.
This is NOT good manners or protecting clients. This is one crazee ass controlling psycho trying to figure who her clients are seeing instead of her.
Just ugh.......

No one said it was a requirement that clients check with me to see if their provider was screening them – I merely told them they could check with me if they wanted or if they were concerned. I am genuinely concerned about safety, as are many others here.
Honestly, I could care less if my clients are seeing other providers – in fact, I routinely recommend other providers to them.
I'm not responding to any more of your bullshit! Go harass someone else.
I will say this, though – someone is certainly coming across as crazy in this thread, but it's not me.
If the provider DID contact her, wouldn't she already know who he was seeing? It's of interest to a hobbyist IF the provider he's trying to see is actually screening or just going through the motions. We care because a provider that doesn't screen is a sure fire way to end up in trouble that might not even be your own. Safety is in everyone's best interest.

I merely offered to go the extra mile for my clients...and let them know whether the provider actually checked or not.
