Is your provider screening?

It's still there on p411. I like it.
I advise my clients that provide me as a reference to check back with me before following through with the appointment. Send me a quick text or PM, and ask if she's checked with me.

I'm sure that other providers of quality wouldn't mind giving you the same courtesy. Taking measures to keep yourself safe also keeps us safe.

If she hasn't checked, you'll know she's not screening.

And if she hasn't, and you see her anyway –– she's not the only person leaving herself wide-open.

This is bullshit.

I would never ever ever ask this. And I - unlike the OP - have never been staff edit - remove RL info. IF you want to check if a possible date has screened you - that's on you. Most guys don't. It is common for some ladies to say "Let me know if you're going to use me as a ref." and this more as permission to discuss you - the protected client - with anyone else for any reason. That's fine. But this.....is not the purpose of Ginger's advice. BE DAMNED if I sit here and read this after the BS she's pulled on the little sisters she has so called mentored (he has no refs you see him first /take the chance then - if you don't go to jail - I'll see him. Charge this do this blah blah Bullshit) Mentoring means help not controlling either the service the economics or the consumer.

This is NOT good manners or protecting clients. This is one crazee ass controlling psycho trying to figure who her clients are seeing instead of her.

Just ugh.......

As a practice, I do not tell my clients to call me back to see if another provider has actually follow up and called/emailed me.

However, I have had clients before talk about how they will give Provider A a reference (Provider B) then later call Provider B to see if he has been checked out. When they find out that Provider A never called Provider B, it worries them about how well the provider screens.

So, Hobbyists do have concerns.

Bottom line here is that if a hobbyist gives a provider references, it behooves that provider to call upon the references. Even if she sees a well known name and figures if he sees her then he must be okay, she still needs to call/email!

Also I think some guys want the ego trip of knowing that providers have discussed them, especially if they feel that the providers will be saying glowing things about them!! LOL

Never take anything for granted. Do your due diligence!

Smooch!

No one said it was a requirement that clients check with me to see if their provider was screening them – I merely told them they could check with me if they wanted or if they were concerned. I am genuinely concerned about safety, as are many others here.

Honestly, I could care less if my clients are seeing other providers – in fact, I routinely recommend other providers to them.

I'm not responding to any more of your bullshit! Go harass someone else.

I will say this, though – someone is certainly coming across as crazy in this thread, but it's not me.

The purpose of this thread was to let hobbyists know that it's no trouble at all for me to confirm that.
Actually, I thought it was very nice for GD to offer that. Notice the word "offer". It was not a demand.

The question always is, "WTF did I do wrong???"

The answer is:
  • #4 - Blatant insults or hostility toward another member will be met with staff intervention. This applies to using our coed forums for name calling, personal attacks, or vulgar slang terms to describe fellow members. If you have legitimate concerns about another member here, share them tactfully in the appropriate private forums or with staff.
  • #5 - Outing or threats of outing are taken seriously. Membership here is anonymous and for the privacy of our members it will remain that way. That means any effort or attempt to connect a person's real world information to their username on this board will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. This includes real names, employment, medical info, addresses past or present, images, criminal or driving record, etc. We expect everyone who participates here to respect and go to great lengths to protect the anonymity and privacy of one another. Reckless disregard or accidental outing will also be taken very seriously.

Ah, thanks for the condolences mate, her name is Precious if anyone comes across her here in hobby world. She's easily agitated and likes to bite, so my apologies beforehand.

As for the review, I still hide my head in shame, but to keep on topic...I should have screened more thoroughly. Tis a shame.
Hmmmm...did Lynn and Warrior have an off spring???
