BUT...it's a name only. The account is the same. All posts, reviews, and history are still there. There is also no protection with "not associating old and new handles" since there is no separate account.

Mercianna chose to change her name. That is all. Pretty much everyone here has that option.

No one is hiding. That was expressly forbidden by the staff for exactly the reasons above.

So to summarize: new name <> new account.
